is it safe for someone with diabetes to have lasik surg.?

If you're in really good health with very healthy eyes with no diabetic retinopathy (or other eye diseases) and your blood sugar is well controlled and you're not way too old, then lasik could possibly be ok - of course it depends on your individual case.
