My lasik of January 2000 resulted in a flap too thin to procede with the correction, epitheleum ingrowth, and a button hole. Three attempts to remove cells by lifting the flap have not worked. Another flap lift is scheduled, alcohol is to be used this time. This is a first for my opthamalgist, where can he and I get information on alternative methods?

I would hope that your LASIK surgeon is talking with colleagus who have previously peformed this type of procedure. If you are concerned about his/her experience, you can get a second opinion. For resistant epithelial ingrowth, alcohol can be a very effective method.
I wish you the very best of luck
