I had lasik surgery 5 weeks ago. My vision before was 20/400. My vision now is 20/40 struggling to 20/30. The problem is my vision is extremely blurry and has been since the surgery . I have had pst surgery exams 1 day, 1 week and 4 weeks after. Last week, I was told folds are present on the underside. I was assured that this is not unusual/normal and they just may not have healed. I am going in for a test this week for them to retake my topography and take another look at my cornea. Is it possible I am a slow healer. Can folds heal this long after surgery and can my vision improve this late?. Again, I am assured this is normal, but I am getting more and more nervous by the day. Can anyone shed any insight? Similar problem?

I assume you mean striae when you speak of folds.
Stria which affect the vision are not normal and
should be fixed sooner rather than later. If
there is another cause of your reduced vision you
need to discuss it with your surgeon.
