I had Lasik about 5 months ago which resulted in striae in one eye. It does not affect my vision. Is there any need for my Dr. to attempt to remove it? From reading this forum, it seems that removal can be challenging.

thanks, Dhana.

In general - if someone has a tiny amount of striae )flap wrinkles) but the wrinkles are in such a position that the vision is not altered/bothered, then most experts feel that the striae should be left alone (as there are risks with any procedure.
As a note - striae do become more difficult to remove with time, so fixing a flap with striae at 5 months can be very challenging.

Best of luck
