My sister-in-law just had surgery on 9/3 and had a flap wrinkle. A contact was placed in the eye. Can someone please explain the purpose of the contact and what happens from that point on in correcting the wrinkle.

the contact lense should act like a mold to protect the rplaced flap, and keep it flat without any further wrinkling. the vision usually improves within days after replacing a wrinkled flap.
