They are the laser surgeons at the Laser Vision Institute in Sunrise Florida. I've been in contact with the center, but I was wonering if anybody could provide me with any feedback or experiences with them.
Mark Bosem is a very nice person, and he used to perform cataract surgery at my hospital. He is a good surgeon for cataracts, although I do not believe he has done many LASIK surgeries. I know he sees patients at his primary office in Weston, where he works with one of my very close friends Dr. Elena Herskowitz.
When using a brand new LASIK company, you should carefully check to make sure that you will meet the surgeon on a day other than your LASIK surgery so that he can completely examine your eyes. As you probably have gathered from this web site, there are many risks with LASIK - so you first want the surgeon to be familiar with you, your eye, and your goals. As well, you should make sure that the LASIK surgeon examines you on your post-operative visits. The web site SurgicalEyes.com has numerous examples of patients who had LASIK and had serious complications that were missed or overlooked during the postoperative visits because they were not examined by their surgeon.
