I am trying to find out if anyone has had surgery by Richard S. Koplin in NYC. I would like to know if anyone has any information or knowledge of his performance.
I am not familiar with this doctor.
I am familiar with Barrie Soloway and Thomas Aiello.
Best of luck

Miami, FL

I am sure by now, you should have your lasik surgery done. Just want to see how you are doing so far. Let me share my experience with you. I have my lasik surgery done by Dr. Richard S. Koplin in www.laserone.md. The reason I chose him is because he is the main surgeon there in Laserone and has the most experience in terms of performing lasik surgery according to the Laserone Web site. My vision originally was 20/800 on both eyes. A week after the surgery, I could see 20/25 on my right eye and 20/40 on my left eye. It has been almost 5 months since after my initial lasik surgery now. My vision has deteriorated since then. I am probably seeing 20/75 now on both eyes. I was told that people with high prescription of nearsighedness would experience deterioration. I still need my glasses whenever I am driving especially at night. An enhancement would be necessary for me later. I thought Dr. Richard S. Koplin did a pretty good job on my eyes. Hey, I went from basically blind to seeing 20/75 now. Can't bitch about that. I just hope the enhancement would make me see like any normal human being with a pair of healthy eye would see. That would be perfect. Share your thought and experience with me for anyone who had lasik surgery done in Laserone.

I did indeed have the surgery with Dr. Koplin. It has been aproximately two months and compared to my previous vision, what i have now is miraculous. Previously, I was a -13 in my left eye and a -16 in my right eye. Now, I am seeing 20/35 in my left eye and 20/50 in my right eye. Hopefully, i will keep this level of vision. How long was it before your vision began to regress?

The first sign of regression is three months after my surgery. I believe regression is quite common. I am still waiting for my enhancement. They need to do more evaluation on my eyes. I am a little worry about the enhancement. I don’t want to push my luck, but at the same time I really hate to wear glasses. By the way, I doubt your vision would still the same.
