Has anyone had any experiences with a Dr. Alexander P. Hatsis located in Rockville Centre, New York. Good or bad I'd like to know because I am seriously considering having him perform LASIK on me. Thanks alot.

I met Dr. Hatsis for the first time at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting this week. He is a highly regarded surgeon and is quite accomplished in the field of refractive surgery.
I obviously have not seen him perform surgery, but he is actually an instructor to many well-known surgeons. He also is very cognizant that many patients are not good candidates for LASIK, and thus he should provide a very comprehensive screening to determine whether LASIK is appropiate for you.
I am sure that if you get a chance to meet with him, he will be able to discuss his experiences with you.

I had Dr. Hatsis perform surgery over 1 month ago. My distance vision was corrected but I now require reading glasses. I find him pleasant but very impatient with questions, to the point where I'm considering seeing another doctor to have my questions answered.
