Does anyone know of a good surgeon in New Orleans? I've gone to 5 clinics here for their free consultations, but have not been able to meet any of the actual doctors! I can't meet any of them until at least the pre-op exam (which of course I have to pay for). So if I don't feel totally comfortable with the doctor, I'm out $200+ for the exam! Is this typical? The clinics that I've been to all seem to be highly respected places here.

It is my understanding that there are some excellent LASIK surgeons in New Orleans. Dr. Margerete McDonald is probably the most well known, but I am sure there are others. Who have you seen so far?

So far, I have not actually met any of the doctors. I have been to the offices of Dr. Steven Brint, Dr. Donald Cerise, Dr. Michael Insler, and Dr. Dara Stevenson. I've only been able to talk to their LASIK coordinators. Have you heard of any of these doctors?

Marguerite McDonald is a very well-known LASIK surgeon in new Orleans. I would think that she meets with her patients in consultation prio to surgery.

I will try to find out who else might be available in new Orleans
