The doctor I am considering for Lasik is using the Nidek Laser. How does the Nidek compare to the VISX machine or any of the other machines? Is Nidek 100% FDA approved??

All of the FDA lasers work well - the real issue is the care that the doctor will give you. Remember that the care given is not based on the total number of surgeries alone. Care refers to the amount of time the doctor will spend with you before and after surgery.

Also a main concern is how often the Nidek or any laser for that matter has been maintained. The experience of the Engineer working on the laser. The ability of the Tech Operating the laser. Allthings to take into consideration and ask your doctor.
