Has anyone heard anything about Dr. Gary Kawesch at the Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley? I'm scheduled for LASIK surgery with him in a couple of weeks.

The Kawesch name is associated with some troubling circumstances, but do not confuse the two brothers. Glenn Kawesch was a San Diego refractive surgeon who ran into difficulties and no longer practices. Gary Kawesch practices in Silicon valley and has no professional affiliation with his brother.

I suggest you use our 50 Tough Questions For Your Doctor at http://www.usaeyes.org/faq/tough_questions.htm to evaluate a potential doctor.

My regular eye doctor is affiliated with the Turner Eye Institute, ran by a surgeon named MD Stephen G. Turner. Heard the name on radio commercial, but when I search online, I can’t find a THING about him. Not even a photo of his bio on his website. Not sure if he’s just an old-school guy or what..

I read a lot about Dr. Gawaesh online..
