I had lasik surgery on ll/l9/99 and unfortunately opted for monovision after the dr. tryed some glasses on my in the exam room and based on that suggested monovision. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone interested in monovision try contacts first. It has been about l month and my eyes are not adjusting. I hate the blurryness in the far sighted eye and I still have to wear reading glasses as it is not comfortable to read.(I don't know if that is because my right eye is so dominant). I just came from the dr. and could barely see the big E. I asked him what my vision was and he said it did not matter because it was in the far-sighted eye. Is it still too early to decide if I will continue to hate this? or do some people adjust well later even though their brain does not like it the first month? My right eye was 20/20 the second after surgery and continues to remain perfect so I am extremely gratful for that. Thanks for your help

I agree - it is very important to test out monovision in contact lenses prior to actual laser surgery. It is difficult for me to answre your question, because you stated that your one eye has excellent distance vision but the other eye has very blurry vision. To help answer your question, I would need to know your best corrected vision in the eye in question, and I would need to know your exact refraction. Your doctor would have this information.

I will be happy to respond after this information is provided

Best of luck
