I am near sighted with a left dominant eye and an astigmatism in the left eye. My corrected vision in the left eye is 20/25 and the right eye is 20/20. My doctor says it is up to me which eye is fully corrected and which is undercorrected. He will not let me try this with contact lenses because I would need a toric lense for the left and it would have to be ordered and fitted. He has simulated both conditions with trial glasses in his office. My distance vision seems to be a little clearer with the non-dominant right eye fully corrected for distance and reading vision seems ok with either right or left corrected for reading. Should I be concerned that I have only had a glasses trial and not a contact lense trial? Should I be concerned about correcting the non-dominant eye for distance?
