I am a -8.50 with a + 2 astigmatism in my right eye and a -7.00 with a + 1.00 astigmatism in my left eye. I was also told that I have large pupils when my eyes are dilated in my eye doctor's office. I am scheduled to have lasik surgery next month. Am I a good candidate? Would I be better off waiting for the wave-front technology?

It is not the size of your pupils when dilated
that is important. It is the size in dim light
without medications. Have your pupils been
measured in dim light?

you need to have your pupils measured in dim light without the use of dilating drops. if your pupils are larger than 6.5 mm, you may be more likely to experience glare and haloes. discuss this with your surgeon and get her opinion. otherwise your prescription is great for the procedure.
